How to map network drive in Mac OS X.
1. In the Finder, click on the Go menu, select Connect to Server.
2. Enter the address to where the resource is you wish to map. (smb://192.168.10.251)
3. Enter your network password when prompted.(DomainUsername)
4. A new icon should appear on the desktop. That is your mapped network drive.
For Creating the shortcut ,
Hold on the keys Command + Options/Alt and drag the folder to the Desktop to create shortcut on the desktop
Note : Mac OS X Tiger is not compatible with Server 2008 and you must upgrade to Leopard.
